The company said that “86% of surveyed travelers say they’re interested in visiting remote or rural destinations—reflecting a broader shift where the stay itself is just as memorable as the destination.”
Regional trends were also noted: In the Northeast, nature-themed stays like modern treehouses and converted silo houses are among the most popular. The South’s top picks include waterfront escapes such as lakeside retreats and houseboats, while Western states feature A-frames near national parks and off-grid desert domes for those looking to unplug from city life.
