Airbnb is offering fans of the upcoming film “Wicked: For Good” a chance to experience Elphaba’s Retreat, a themed stay inspired by the character from Universal Pictures’ adaptation. The retreat, located in Thousand Oaks, California, allows guests to immerse themselves in an environment designed to reflect Elphaba’s world.
Cynthia Erivo, who portrays Elphaba and is a Grammy, Emmy, Tony winner and three-time Academy Award nominee, will host select guests at the retreat. She described her connection to the role: “Elphaba taught me that our differences are what makes us powerful. Her story transformed me, and I can’t wait to share that journey with you.”
The event offers two main opportunities for fans. Up to 20 selected participants will join Cynthia Erivo on December 3 for an interactive experience featuring storytelling and creative activities related to the film. Guests can request to book this experience at airbnb.com/wickedforgood between November 11 and November 13; there is no cost for participation.
Additionally, an overnight stay for up to two guests will be available on December 6. Booking requests for this exclusive night open from November 11 through November 20 at airbnb.com/wickedforgoodretreat.
Participants are responsible for their own travel arrangements and accommodations outside of the scheduled experiences. More information about eligibility requirements and rules can be found at airbnb.com/rules.
Airbnb Experiences are hosted by local experts worldwide and include both standard offerings as well as Airbnb Originals—unique events created specifically for Airbnb users.
