Airbnb offers exclusive early bookings at Barlochan cottage on Lake Muskoka

Airbnb is offering guests the opportunity to book a stay at Barlochan cottage, located on the shores of Lake Muskoka. The property, which has been featured in film and television this winter, will be available for booking exclusively through Airbnb for select weekends this summer.

The cottage was designed with privacy in mind and features architectural elements that blend with its natural surroundings. According to Airbnb, “Every great story deserves the perfect setting. Airbnb is inviting guests to Barlochan cottage—which has captivated screens big and small this winter—allowing fans to book and experience the private haven in real life on the shores of Lake Muskoka.”

Guests who secure a reservation will have exclusive access to the property during their stay. As stated by Airbnb, “Guests will have the secret hideaway completely to themselves during their stay—the perfect set up for those who want to stay out of the headlines.”

Four early access bookings are being offered before regular reservations open. These weekend stays are scheduled for May 8-10, May 16-18, May 22-24, and May 29-31 in Muskoka, Ontario. Bookings can be made starting March 3 at noon Eastern Time for $248.10 CAD per night. “For guests eager to embrace cottage life, four early access bookings will be available before the cottage opens for regular booking,” Airbnb said.

Interest in cottages in Muskoka has increased since late December, with searches rising by 40 percent. Those looking for different experiences in the area can find options such as modern homes along the Muskoka River or lakefront retreats featuring amenities like saunas and fireplaces.

Airbnb enables hosts to share homes and local experiences with travelers around the world, fostering authentic travel opportunities according to its official website. The platform connects guests with unique accommodations and experiences across more than 220 countries and regions (link).
