Amazon has announced that Prime Big Deal Days will take place on October 7-8, marking the start of the holiday shopping season with exclusive offers for Prime members. The event will feature millions of deals across a wide range of categories, including beauty, electronics, home goods, toys, and seasonal essentials.

Carmen Nestares, vice president of North America Marketing and Prime Tech at Amazon, stated: “Prime Big Deal Days kicks off the holiday shopping season with exclusive deals for Prime members on must-have items and popular gifts. We’re excited to help Prime members save money this year with some of Amazon’s best deals of the season so far, including amazing deals on an expanded selection of Holiday Amazon Exclusive items. With Prime Big Deal Days, members can check off their holiday lists early and make the most of their holiday budget.”

Early access deals are available now. Shoppers can find curated gift lists such as the Top 25 Early Holiday Gift Deals featuring brands like Clinique and Samsung. Amazon is also promoting discounts on its private label products and select Amazon devices, with savings up to 50% on items such as Fire HD tablets and Kindle bundles.

Prime members have additional benefits during this event. These include early access to Universal Pictures’ “Wicked: For Good” before its wide release in theaters; financial incentives through Prime Visa and Store Card programs; fuel savings at bp, Amoco, and ampm locations; special cash back opportunities for young adults aged 18-24; and a free McDonald’s Chicken McNuggets Meal each day via Grubhub+ between September 15 and October 5.

Amazon highlights tools designed to streamline shopping for customers. These include AI-powered assistant Rufus for gift suggestions or meal planning; visual search features like Amazon Lens; Alexa-enabled deal tracking; and organizational features such as Lists and Buy Again.

The company’s Holiday Shop is now live online. It includes collections such as Top 100 Gifts segmented by recipient category—her, him, teens, kids—and the Toys We Love list which showcases popular toys for the season.

For delivery options in the United States, more than 300 million items are available with free shipping for Prime members. Many top-selling products are eligible for Same-Day or One-Day Delivery in over 140 metro areas. The Amazon Day program allows customers to consolidate deliveries to reduce packaging waste—an initiative that used about 20% fewer boxes in 2024 compared to other delivery methods.

This year’s Prime Big Deal Days event will also be held internationally starting October 7 in several countries including Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Japan, Spain, Sweden, the UK, United States—and new markets Colombia, Ireland, and Mexico.

Prime membership provides various benefits such as fast shipping options on millions of items worldwide. Memberships cost $14.99 per month or $139 per year in the U.S., with discounted rates available for young adults aged 18-24 as well as qualifying government assistance recipients through programs like Prime Access.

Amazon operates under four guiding principles: customer obsession rather than competitor focus; passion for invention; commitment to operational excellence; and long-term thinking. The company aims to be Earth’s most customer-centric company while focusing on employee welfare and safety standards.
