Amazon announced on May 27 that it will host ‘El Jaleíto Prime,’ a free public event to celebrate the upcoming Prime Day and mark key anniversaries for the company in Spain. The celebration is scheduled for Wednesday, June 17, at The Lenovo Garage (formerly Autocine de Madrid), ahead of the exclusive sales event for Amazon Prime members taking place in June.
The event coincides with two milestones: 15 years since Amazon launched amazon.es and 10 years since the introduction of Prime Video in Spain. According to Amazon, since its arrival in Spain in 2011, the company has expanded from selling books to becoming part of daily life for millions of Spanish households by offering access to products, entertainment, and technology.
‘El Jaleíto Prime’ will feature activities for all ages, prizes, music performances by Abraham Mateo, Cristina Lora—winner of the latest edition of Operación Triunfo—and DJ Luc Loren. Attendees will also have opportunities to learn about Amazon Prime benefits and preview some upcoming offers for Prime Day. Free tickets are available while supplies last through https://link.dice.fm/eljaleitoprime.
Ruth Díaz, general manager of Amazon for Spain and Portugal, said: “Este año cumplimos 15 años en España y queremos celebrarlo con nuestros clientes. ‘El Jaleíto Prime’ es nuestra forma de dar la bienvenida a Prime Day, nuestro evento de ofertas exclusivo para clientes Prime. Es la ocasión perfecta para mirar atrás y celebrar todo lo que hemos construido juntos en estos 15 años y brindar por seguir mirando adelante con el mismo compromiso: hacer la vida de nuestros clientes más fácil cada día. ¡Qué nunca nos falte de na!”
