Since 2013, Amazon has expanded its operations in New York, investing $52.3 billion in the state over the past decade. This investment includes infrastructure projects and employee compensation. The company reports that it has contributed $46 billion to New York’s economy during this period.

Amazon also works with 20 educational institutions across New York through its Career Choice program, which offers employees prepaid tuition for skills development. In 2024, independent sellers based in New York sold more than 769 million items through Amazon’s online marketplace.
