Amazon Autos has announced an expansion of its platform to include used and certified pre-owned (CPO) vehicles. This move allows dealers to list their used inventory on Amazon, starting in Los Angeles, with plans to reach more cities across the United States in the coming months.

“We look forward to bringing the convenience of Amazon Autos to used vehicle sales,” said Fan Jin, global leader of Amazon Autos. “This expansion is driven by strong interest from our dealer partners. By including certified pre-owned and used vehicles, we’re meeting dealer demand for broader online reach while offering customers a wider selection of high-quality vehicles to fit your budget and unique lifestyle needs. This move continues our commitment to support local dealerships, now connecting dealers with more prospective customers online across new, certified pre-owned, and used vehicle categories.”

Weslie Metcalf, managing partner of Premier Hyundai Moreno Valley in California, expressed optimism about the development: “We’re excited to be an early participant in Amazon Autos’ expansion. We’re optimistic about the opportunity to showcase our used and certified pre-owned inventory through Amazon Autos. We believe this collaboration has the potential to help us reach more customers and enhance our online sales process. We look forward to growing with this new offering and exploring new ways to serve our customers.”

The expansion builds on Amazon Autos’ initial launch of new vehicle sales in December 2024, which already involves dealerships in over 130 cities nationwide. The updated program provides dealers with access to millions of Amazon customers and streamlines the browsing and purchasing steps online before buyers complete their purchase at a dealership.

Customers can expect features such as a selection of quality pre-owned vehicles beginning with Hyundai dealers; customer protection policies including a 3-day/300-mile return policy and at least a 30 day/1,000-mile Limited Warranty; transparent pricing without hidden fees; detailed vehicle information including Vehicle History Reports; and integration with dealerships for test drives.
