Amazon has expanded its Same-Day Delivery service, now available in over 140 U.S. metro areas since its introduction to Prime members in 2015. This service aims to provide fast and reliable delivery for millions of items across various categories such as beauty, home, pets, and apparel.

To check the availability of Same-Day Delivery in your area, you can visit amazon.com/samedaystore and browse by category, price point, and retail store. Eligible items will display a “free delivery today” option next to their name. Customers will also see an order countdown timer indicating how much time remains to place an order for same-day delivery.

For Prime members, orders over $25 qualify for free Same-Day Delivery in most cities. If the order is below this amount, a $2.99 fee applies. Amazon gift card shipping remains free regardless of the order total. Non-Prime members can opt for Same-Day Delivery at a cost of $9.99 per order or $3.99 for Amazon gift card shipping.

The service covers a wide range of U.S. metro areas including Atlanta, Boston, San Francisco, Baton Rouge, Cedar Rapids, and Daytona Beach. Customers are encouraged to update their addresses on Amazon’s platform to verify if they reside within eligible zip codes.

In addition to expanding delivery options, Amazon has introduced Rufus, a generative AI-powered shopping assistant designed to help customers make informed purchasing decisions. Rufus is accessible through the Amazon Shopping app and desktop site.
