Amazon has introduced a new discounted Prime membership aimed at young adults aged 18 to 24. The “Prime for Young Adults” program offers the full range of Prime benefits at half the standard price, costing $7.49 per month or $69 per year. New eligible members can try the service free for six months.

The membership includes access to Amazon’s delivery options, such as Same-Day and One-Day Delivery on millions of items, as well as streaming through Prime Video and Amazon Music, gaming with Prime Gaming, unlimited photo storage via Amazon Photos, and more.

Members will receive everyday 5% cash back on purchases in categories like beauty, apparel, electronics, and personal care for a limited time. Additional perks include exclusive drops and special deals throughout the year.

Jamil Ghani, worldwide vice president of Amazon Prime, said: “We’re always looking for ways to make the incredible value of Prime more affordable, accessible, and fun. Whether someone is beginning their first job, moving into their first apartment or college dorm, or taking time to decide what’s next, the new Prime for Young Adults membership helps members save money, save time, and make the most of this important life stage.”

Other benefits include free Grubhub+ membership—valued at $120 annually—for food delivery without fees on eligible orders from participating restaurants. Members can also save $0.10 per gallon at over 7,500 bp, Amoco, and ampm gas stations across the country.

Amazon currently provides same-day perishable grocery delivery in over 1,000 cities and towns in the U.S., with plans to double that reach by year’s end. Same-Day Delivery is free for orders over $25 in most cities for Prime members (https://www.aboutamazon.com/news/operations/amazon-same-day-grocery-delivery-expansion).

Prime Big Deal Days will return October 7-8 this year with exclusive deals available only to Prime members.
