Amazon has expanded its fastest delivery service, Amazon Now, across the United Arab Emirates (UAE), offering customers the ability to receive everyday essentials in as little as 15 minutes. The company is using micro fulfillment centers located throughout UAE neighborhoods to enable these rapid deliveries and reduce travel distances for drivers.
Ronaldo Mouchawar, Vice President of Amazon Middle East, Africa, and Turkey, said: “We are continuing to take convenience to the next level with Amazon Now, our fastest delivery service yet in the UAE. Every innovation at Amazon starts with our customers, and Amazon Now is designed for their pace of life here, bringing everyday essentials to customers in minutes — with customers across some locations receiving deliveries as fast as 6 minutes. Whether it’s a phone charger, last-minute groceries, or baby products, we’ve got them covered.”
Prime members can benefit from free shipping on Amazon Now orders above AED 25. For orders below this amount, a delivery fee of AED 6 applies. The new service operates around the clock and covers items such as fresh produce, groceries, electronics, personal care products, fashion accessories, household goods, kitchen appliances, and baby care items.
In addition to ultra-fast deliveries through Amazon Now, the company has introduced a two-hour delivery option for thousands of products spanning more than 30 categories on Amazon.ae. This expanded offering is currently available in most major areas of the UAE and will reach additional locations in the coming months.
Mouchawar also commented on customer response: “With Prime, customers get even more value as always through exclusive savings, faster delivery, and added value on top of the benefits they already enjoy year-round. The response has exceeded our most optimistic expectations, with daily orders growing at more than 40% on average month over month and Prime members doubling their shopping frequency after they begin using Amazon Now.”
A new feature called Add to Delivery allows Prime members to add items to upcoming deliveries with one tap.
The areas currently served by Amazon Now include Dubai Marina, JBR (Jumeirah Beach Residence), JLT (Jumeirah Lake Towers), Dubai Silicon Oasis, Barsha, JVC (Jumeirah Village Circle), Karama, Mizhar, Warqa, Business Bay, Al Nahda, DIP (Dubai Investment Park), Festival City, Arjan, Jabel Ali (Jebel Ali), Al Sufouh, Al Bada’a (Al Bada), Raffa (Al Raffa), Rashidiya (Al Rashidiya), Meydan (Nad Al Sheba area), Abu Dhabi Central district areas including Rowdhat and Al Ain city area as well as Al Khan.
Customers can access Amazon Now by selecting its logo on the main navigation bar within the app or by visiting the dedicated website.
The service relies on advanced technology at micro fulfillment centers that use inventory systems tailored to local demand patterns. These facilities are compact and strategically placed near customer neighborhoods for maximum efficiency and safety during order processing and delivery.
