Amazon Music has announced a partnership with international artist Bad Bunny aimed at supporting Puerto Rico through music and community initiatives. The collaboration will culminate in a special live-streamed concert, “No me quiero ir de aquí: Una Más,” on September 20 at the Coliseo José Miguel Agrelot in San Juan. This marks the first time Bad Bunny’s residency, which began July 11 and included nine dates for local residents, will be broadcast globally. The show will be available for free via the Amazon Music app, Amazon Music’s Twitch channel, and Prime Video.
The event coincides with the eighth anniversary of Hurricane Maria and is part of broader efforts by Amazon and Bad Bunny to invest in Puerto Rico’s future. Initiatives include building a new school focused on STEM education, supporting local agriculture to improve access to fresh food, and launching an online store on Amazon.com called “comPRa Local.” This store will feature Puerto Rican products under the “Hecho en PR” label to highlight local businesses.
Rocío Guerrero, Director of Music for Latin-Iberia at Amazon Music, said, “Benito represents the soul of Puerto Rico and together we are creating a celebration that transforms his love for the island into benefits for its people. Combining music, technology, commerce and large-scale community programs, we connect the world to this historic moment while strengthening Puerto Rican communities. This multi-year collaboration makes us proud as it turns the power of music into meaningful and lasting progress for the island.”
Noah Assad, CEO of RIMAS Entertainment, added: “Puerto Rico is our home and every step we take is guided by our culture and our people. This collaboration goes beyond music; we want the world to discover Puerto Rico, support it and invest in its future. Together with Amazon, we are building a legacy that transcends this musical moment.”
Amazon’s engagement in Puerto Rico dates back to Hurricane Maria in 2017 when it provided emergency supplies using its logistics network. Since then, Amazon has delivered over 25 million relief items globally after disasters and continues partnerships with local organizations in Puerto Rico to address issues such as education access and food security.
Abe Díaz, head of disaster relief at Amazon who volunteered during Hurricane Maria response efforts on the island, said: “As a Puerto Rican who has lived through many hurricanes, I feel a deep connection with the community work we are doing. Our collaboration with Benito to advance and enrich our community impact in Puerto Rico fills me with pride—especially because our efforts aim to strengthen communities for generations to come.”
The partnership also aligns with Amazon’s recent investments in infrastructure on the island. The company has begun construction of its first last-mile delivery station in the Caribbean—a move expected to create jobs and expand opportunities through its Delivery Service Partners program. Additionally, Amazon maintains relationships with schools, hospitals and community groups across Puerto Rico.
Fans can expect exclusive content from Bad Bunny as part of this campaign. He will take over Platino (https://amzn.to/platino), Amazon Music’s Latin playlist dedicated to celebrating Puerto Rican musical heritage. A limited edition vinyl record titled “Debí Tirar Más Fotos,” featuring photos from his residency shows, will be available for pre-order worldwide starting September 20 exclusively through the Amazon Music app.
The final concert will stream live on September 20 at 8:30 p.m. ET via Amazon Music platforms including Prime Video (https://www.primevideo.com/) and Twitch (https://www.twitch.tv/amazonmusic). Updates can be followed on @AmazonMusicLatin using #BadBunnyUnaMas.
