Amazon announced that Prime Day 2025 was its largest event to date, with customers saving billions across more than 35 product categories. The company’s delivery station in East Point, Georgia, supported its first Prime Day, contributing to record order volumes and fulfillment.

According to Amazon, the new metro Atlanta delivery station in East Point, which opened in late 2024, played a significant role during the Prime Day operations in July 2025. More than 1,000 employees at the site worked extended shifts during the four-day shopping event, contributing to Amazon’s record-breaking fulfillment volumes. The East Point station is one of over 30 Amazon facilities operating in Georgia.

Amazon reported that Prime Day 2025 was the company’s biggest Prime Day event to date. Top-selling products included Apple AirPods Pro 2, Alexa-enabled devices, and grocery discounts from Whole Foods Market and Amazon Fresh. Prime members purchased millions of items during the four-day sale using fast, free delivery.

Independent sellers on Amazon—most of which are small and medium-sized businesses—reached record levels of sales during Prime Day 2025. Olivia Garden, a small business that has sold on Amazon since 2019, reported its most successful Prime Day yet. The company noted the event boosted customer acquisition and overall visibility.

Amazon has invested $18.5 billion in Georgia since 2010 and employs over 39,000 people throughout the state. The company operates more than 30 facilities in Georgia, including fulfillment centers, sortation hubs, and delivery stations. These operations support Amazon’s logistics network and contribute to statewide employment and infrastructure growth.

The corporation employs more than 1.5 million people worldwide across its global operations. In the United States, it offers a starting wage of at least $17 per hour along with full benefits from the first day of employment. These include medical coverage, 401(k) matching, mental health resources, and access to prepaid education through its Career Choice program.
