Another Simple Favor’ sequel streams on Prime Video after SXSW premiere

The much-awaited sequel to the 2018 thriller “A Simple Favor,” titled “Another Simple Favor,” is set to premiere at the SXSW Film & TV Festival in Austin, Texas, on March 7. The film will then be available for streaming exclusively on Prime Video starting May 1.

In this new installment, Stephanie Smothers, played by Anna Kendrick, and Emily Nelson, portrayed by Blake Lively, reunite on the picturesque island of Capri. The plot unfolds around Emily’s lavish wedding to a wealthy Italian businessman, promising an event filled with murder and betrayal amid the opulent celebrations.

Prime Video subscribers can access “Another Simple Favor” as part of their Amazon Prime membership. This service is priced at $14.99 monthly or $139 annually and offers additional benefits like free shipping and exclusive deals. Amazon also provides discounted membership options for young adults and college students at $7.49 per month after a trial period, as well as Prime Access for qualifying government-assistance recipients at $6.99 per month.

Returning from the original film are Henry Golding, Andrew Rannells, and Bashir Salahuddin under the direction of Paul Feig. New cast members include Michele Morrone, Elizabeth Perkins, and Allison Janney. Jessica Sharzer and Laeta Kalogridis collaborated on writing the screenplay.

Prime Video continues to offer a wide range of entertainment options beyond “Another Simple Favor.”
