Botpool, a new freelance marketplace built around artificial intelligence, was reviewed on Apr. 8 by Jack Nolan, who described his experience using the platform and outlined its features for freelancers and businesses in the AI sector.
The review addresses a growing concern among freelancers about high platform fees on established sites like Fiverr and Upwork. Botpool aims to offer an alternative with lower commissions and technology-driven matching processes.
Founded by Manuel Garcia, Botpool connects businesses with vetted AI-native freelancers in fields such as AI development, conversational agents, automation, web development, SEO, content creation, and design. According to Garcia: “At Botpool, we believe freelancers deserve more than just a gig — they deserve a platform that helps them thrive.” The platform uses artificial intelligence throughout the hiring process to match talent efficiently.
Nolan said getting started on Botpool is simple for both businesses and freelancers. Businesses can browse freelancer profiles or purchase services instantly while freelancers can set up their profiles or look through job postings. The process includes direct messaging for quick hiring decisions and secure payment after project completion.
A notable feature highlighted in the review is Botpool’s integrated SaaS tools that allow freelancers to resell add-ons to clients—creating opportunities for recurring income beyond one-off projects. Nolan also pointed out that Botpool charges what it calls “a small commission,” reportedly less than other platforms’ typical rates of up to 30 percent. For example, he wrote that at a 10 percent fee difference compared to major competitors like Fiverr’s 20 percent rate, savings could reach $6,000 per year for someone billing $5,000 monthly.
The review lists several advantages of using Botpool: lower fees; AI-powered matching; focus on future-of-work skills; global reach with multilingual support; SaaS reselling options; and an easy-to-use interface. However, Nolan noted some drawbacks including its status as a newer platform with fewer job postings compared to industry giants and less name recognition among clients.
Early users cited in the article praised relevant work matches from the AI system and appreciated keeping more income due to reduced fees. One developer from San Juan said: “Finally, a platform that gets what I actually do. The AI matching found me relevant work faster than I expected.”
Nolan concluded his review by recommending Botpool especially for those working in AI-related fields who are looking for fairer fees or want access to new tools supporting recurring revenue streams.
