Experian has chosen Amazon Web Services (AWS) as its preferred cloud provider to accelerate its cloud migration and enhance innovation through generative artificial intelligence (AI). The collaboration aims to improve performance, scalability, and reliability, enabling Experian to offer innovative products and solutions. By transitioning from mainframe computers and on-premises servers to the cloud, Experian plans to centralize its technology platforms and utilize data for deeper insights.

As part of a new 10-year strategic agreement, Experian will develop over 100 generative AI use-cases with AWS. This partnership is expected to boost operational efficiency, democratize data technologies for employees, and create new credit and financial analytics offerings. Generative AI will streamline database migrations, optimize dataset transfers, reduce downtime, improve data accuracy, and strengthen Experian’s position in the global data industry.

Scott Mullins, Managing Director of Worldwide Financial Services at AWS stated: “AWS is delighted to partner with Experian to unlock opportunities that drive innovation, increase agility, and accelerate their modernization.”

Rodrigo Rodrigues, Chief Technology Officer at Experian remarked: “Our initial migrations gave us enhanced performance, security, and reliability… By moving to AWS, we’ve reduced our data processing time by 60%, improved our ability to launch new products from months to weeks…”

The collaboration also emphasizes robust security controls and advanced threat detection provided by AWS. Both companies are committed to creating transformative experiences that benefit businesses and consumers alike.
