Fremantle has announced the selection of Prime Focus Technologies (PFT) and Amazon Web Services (AWS) to construct a comprehensive global content supply chain platform. This new platform aims to unify operations across Fremantle’s various markets, offering real-time content workflow visibility and accelerating the commercialization process. By leveraging AWS’s cloud technology, the platform will provide enhanced scalability, security, and flexibility.

Jens Richter, CEO Commercial and International at Fremantle, stated, “A robust content supply chain that will cater to the dynamic business requirements of monetizing content is paramount, and we look forward to working with PFT and AWS to see what we can achieve together.” He emphasized the expectations that this collaboration will offer Fremantle the necessary agility and scalability.

The platform will integrate PFT’s CLEAR Smart MAM solution, built on AWS, which uses AI capabilities to enrich and streamline content workflows. Ramki Sankaranarayanan, Founder and Global CEO of Prime Focus Technologies, expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration, noting, “We’re thrilled to partner with them on this transformative journey and enable their vision of a modern, AI-powered supply chain that fuels creativity and revenue.”

AWS’s UK Head of Broadcast, Media, and Sport, Andy Stephenson, highlighted Fremantle’s opportunity to innovate, suggesting, “By harnessing technologies like cloud computing and AI, Fremantle will be able to drive innovation across its business, scale quickly, easily, and securely, and extract new value from its content.”

The project will be led by Thalia Crone, Global Head of Media Supply Chain Operations at Fremantle. Fremantle is responsible for the commercial exploitation of its content through various channels, including international broadcasters and digital platforms.

Fremantle is well-known for producing and distributing entertainment, drama, and documentaries across 27 territories. It forms part of the RTL Group, a prominent entity in broadcasting and streaming services.

Prime Focus Technologies, known for its cloud-based AI media services, collaborates with several significant industry players including Warner Bros. Discovery and Amazon MGM Studios.
