Genspark, a startup focused on building general-purpose AI agents, has announced it has chosen Amazon Web Services (AWS) as its preferred cloud provider. The company, which serves over 20 million users globally, reports that the move to AWS infrastructure and generative AI capabilities has led to reduced product development and operational costs while enhancing the performance of its AI offerings.

Founded in 2023, Genspark offers a range of intelligent agent products. Among these is a deep research agent designed for comprehensive and trustworthy results by automating complex research tasks. Its main product, Super Agent, acts as an all-in-one workspace supporting activities such as research, content creation, and office productivity.

By adopting AWS’s autoscaling solutions and using Amazon EC2 Spot Instances, Genspark states it has achieved GPU cost reductions of 60-70%. Combining Cluster Autoscaler for Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS) with Spot Instances allows the company to maintain necessary compute capacity at lower costs.

Genspark also uses AWS’s global infrastructure to improve user experiences. For example, its Image Studio feature operates the Flux image generation model on an EKS cluster powered by Amazon EC2 G6e instances. This setup utilizes various GPU instance types to reduce image generation times to seconds.

A core aspect of agentic AI applications is integrating reasoning abilities with business-aligned prompt engineering. Genspark employs the Claude family of models on Amazon Bedrock for workflows in products like Super Agent and other tools such as AI Slides and AI Designer. As a managed service, Amazon Bedrock provides high-performing foundation models and deployment tools. Prompt caching through Bedrock helps Genspark cut model inference costs by 72%.

Genspark took part in “AWS Activate 2.0” and was included in the second cohort of the “AWS Startup Accelerator.” According to the company, technical support from AWS aided in accelerating both technical validation and commercial rollout of their generative AI products.

“In the generative AI domain, AWS demonstrates outstanding technological leadership and deep capabilities. Our close collaboration has greatly advanced our breakthroughs in agentic AI product development and cost optimization and has meaningfully improved user experience. Looking ahead, we look forward to deepening our co-innovation with AWS in agentic AI, expanding into broader application scenarios, and jointly shaping a new paradigm for intelligent content access and creation,” said Justin Liu, co-founder & Chief Architect of Genspark.

“Millions of users are already using Genspark network of specialized agents that can conduct every-day activities including research, content creation, and office productivity,” said Jason Bennett, VP and Global Head of Startups and Venture Capital at AWS. “By leveraging AWS’s AI stack, they’ve reduced costs by up to 72% while significantly improving performance. This demonstrates how our AI infrastructure and services are enabling startups to scale their AI applications efficiently. We’re excited to continue supporting Genspark as they push the boundaries of agentic AI.”
