GreenPal announced on Apr. 13 that its platform allows homeowners to receive multiple quotes quickly for lawn care services, offering an experience similar to other service-based apps.

The development of marketplace-style apps has changed how people hire service providers, making it easier and faster to compare bids and select contractors. For homeowners looking for an efficient way to arrange lawn care, GreenPal’s app provides a streamlined process with features designed to give users more control over hiring decisions.

According to the company, GreenPal connects users directly with local lawn care professionals after they enter their property address into the app or website. Homeowners then receive several bids within minutes, allowing them to compare prices and qualifications without making phone calls. The platform is available nationwide and typically generates about five bids in 24 hours.

Unlike some competitors that automatically assign a contractor or limit user choice, GreenPal lets customers manually select who they want to hire based on transparent pricing, verified reviews, photos of past work, and reliability ratings. The average reliability rating among GreenPal’s providers is reported at 93.15% according to the company’s Vendor Reliability Index for 2025.

The company outlines steps for vetting contractors: checking reviews, viewing completed project photos uploaded by professionals after each job, considering reliability scores (with a recommendation of at least an 80% rating), communicating directly with potential hires through the platform, and asking follow-up questions regarding insurance or additional services like mulching or aeration.

Marketplace platforms such as GreenPal aim to save time compared with traditional methods of contacting multiple companies individually. By providing competitive bidding in one place and streamlining communication between customers and service providers, these apps seek to make hiring quicker while giving users more confidence in their choices.
