GreenPal announced on May 10 that marketplace platforms are making it easier for homeowners to hire professionals for seasonal yard cleanup. The company said these apps allow users to quickly find local providers for services such as leaf removal, aeration, pruning, and mulching without the delays often experienced with traditional hiring methods.

This development matters because many homeowners struggle to find reliable help for seasonal lawn care tasks. Traditional approaches like searching online or relying on word-of-mouth can lead to long wait times, inconsistent service quality, and higher costs.

“Maintaining your property is a year round responsibility. You have to keep up with mowing in the summer, snow removal in the winter, and seasonal services in the spring and fall. Seasonal services tend to be the hardest to find reliable help for, and many homeowners choose to skip them altogether because of that,” GreenPal said.

The company explained that using a platform like GreenPal addresses common challenges associated with traditional hiring methods. These include difficulty finding experienced contractors willing to take on one-time jobs during high-demand seasons, unreliable scheduling, price gouging by some providers due to demand spikes, and lengthy waitlists.

According to GreenPal’s announcement, their app offers transparent pricing through a bidding system where multiple contractors submit bids within 24 hours. Homeowners can review real customer feedback tied directly to completed jobs before selecting a provider. The booking process is streamlined so all communication occurs within the app: “Everything happens on the app in GreenPal, and you get access to message your seasonal lawn care pro directly.” Payment is handled securely through Stripe after job completion.

The company also emphasized that customers do not need to be home when work is performed: “When hiring someone off GreenPal, they’ll arrive on the day you say, at the time you say. They complete their work, submit a picture of the completed job…and automatically get paid through Stripe.” This process aims at reducing hassle while ensuring quality results.

Looking ahead, GreenPal encouraged homeowners needing spring aeration or fall leaf cleanup—or any other seasonal task—to consider using its platform for stress-free booking and verified contractor reviews.
