GreenPal announced on Apr. 5 that using online platforms can help homeowners get multiple bids for lawn care services without making numerous phone calls.

This information is important for homeowners who want to save money and time when hiring lawn care providers. By comparing several quotes, consumers can ensure competitive pricing and find qualified professionals more easily.

According to GreenPal, getting multiple bids is the best way to secure a good deal on lawn services. The company said that most consumer protection agencies recommend obtaining at least three quotes before hiring a provider. “If you hire the first bid you get, you’ll never know if there are more affordable providers out there,” the statement said.

The announcement highlights drawbacks of calling individual businesses for quotes, such as uncertain availability, delays due to phone tag or required on-site estimates, and limited vetting opportunities. GreenPal noted that these factors often lead homeowners to settle after only one or two quotes, potentially missing better deals.

Marketplace apps like GreenPal aim to simplify this process by allowing contractors ready for work to respond directly through the platform. Homeowners input their property details into the app and receive multiple accurate bids along with contractor reviews and reliability ratings within about 24 hours. “Your app dashboard will display every lawn care pro’s quote and their qualifications, which allows you to make a confident decision,” GreenPal said.

The company also provided tips for comparing bids effectively: collecting standardized offers within budget, understanding included services, checking frequency-based pricing differences, reviewing qualifications through testimonials or social media accounts, and considering responsiveness or proximity.

To further assist users in vetting potential contractors quickly, GreenPal suggested looking for high ratings (four or five stars), strong reliability scores (80% or higher), prompt communication within a day, clear service deliverables, modern equipment use, budget fit, and availability on requested days.

In conclusion, GreenPal said that marketplace apps build trust between contractors and homeowners by streamlining how property owners receive bids directly from interested providers.
