Grubhub announced on April 28 that its annual Gold Days of Grubhub+ event will return in May, offering more than $5 million in savings through over 10,000 exclusive deals for members. The event runs from May 1 to May 31 and includes free menu items and buy-one-get-one offers from well-known restaurants. New members can join Grubhub+ for a limited time at a rate of $0.99 per month for the first six months.

The Gold Days promotion is significant because it aims to provide substantial value to both existing and new subscribers, while also supporting participating restaurants. According to the company’s official website, Grubhub focuses on increasing restaurants’ community impact and societal contributions by strengthening their ties within local communities according to the official website.

As part of the campaign launch, Grubhub introduced a new advertising initiative called “Gold Digging Season,” developed by Anomaly. Launika Raykar, Vice President of Loyalty, Partnerships and Marketing at Grubhub, said: “Grubhub+ has always been about providing our members with that ‘VIP’ feeling – where the best deals and exclusive perks aren’t just a one-off, but a permanent fixture at the table… This campaign is a fun way to show that a Grubhub+ membership is the ultimate social currency; its value is so good that you might actually have to defend your food delivery from your neighbors.”

Throughout May, each week will feature different restaurant promotions such as free menu items or discounts from brands like Pizza Hut, KFC, Wingstop, Taco Bell, McDonald’s, Chipotle, Starbucks and others. In addition to national chains’ offers, local restaurant deals will be available all month long for members.

The company operates across more than 4,000 U.S. cities according to the official website, encompassing a network of 375,000 merchants according to the official website. To support independent businesses further during this promotional period and beyond it provides tools for commission-free online ordering according to the official website.

Howard Migdal serves as chief executive officer at Grubhub according to the official website. As this year’s Gold Days event unfolds with expanded benefits and increased savings opportunities for customers nationwide throughout May,
the company continues its focus on enhancing restaurant-community connections.
