Grubhub and National Retail Solutions (NRS) have announced a new integration that allows independent retailers in the NRS nationwide point-of-sale (POS) network to offer remote ordering for delivery or in-store pick-up through the Grubhub app.

Stephanie Grammel, Director of Integrations & Solutions at Grubhub, stated, “Local businesses are essential to the fabric of their communities, and this integration is about helping them thrive in a digital-first world. By embedding Grubhub directly into the NRS point-of-sale system, we are making it easier for independent retailers to expand their reach, serve customers on their terms, and unlock new revenue streams—without adding operational complexity.”

Elie Y. Katz, President and CEO of NRS, said, “We are tremendously excited to announce our integration with Grubhub. This partnership empowers our NRS retailers, which are predominantly neighborhood convenience stores and bodegas, to compete effectively and efficiently in the rapidly expanding digital channel.”

Ari B. Korman, SVP of Ecommerce at NRS added, “We are eliminating the friction points that make it harder for small businesses to compete successfully in the delivery marketplace. Based on our results to date, on average, our retailers with the Grubhub integration are achieving significantly increased profitability with very strong ROIs.”

The companies outlined several benefits for NRS retailers from this integration. Orders placed through Grubhub will go directly into the retailer’s POS system within NRS. Menu prices and inventory updates made by store owners will be automatically reflected on their Grubhub listings. The process also aims to reduce training time by allowing staff to use familiar systems when processing orders.

Retailers can manage menus, store hours, and access analytics from their existing POS platform. The analytics tools provided will help stores understand both in-store and delivery sales performance.

Retailers interested in activating this feature can contact their NRS representative or visit nrsplus.com for more information about setup.
