Grubhub has introduced new features to its platform, expanding beyond meal deliveries. The company now offers a Multi-Store Ordering feature, allowing customers to combine items from two eligible stores into a single order. This feature is available nationwide and on Seamless in New York City. Emma Cai, Director of Product Management at Grubhub, stated that the goal is to provide “a more unified shopping and delivery experience.”

The new service includes an expanded selection of non-restaurant partners, including alcohol delivery from local liquor stores in select markets. Alcohol orders on Grubhub have increased by over 20% year over year. To ensure safety and compliance, Grubhub uses in-app ID verification for alcohol deliveries.

In addition to food and alcohol, Grubhub has partnered with FTD for fresh flower delivery. This partnership allows customers access to nearly 3,000 local florists within FTD’s network, enabling them to send bouquets alongside meals or other essentials.

These updates aim to make Grubhub a comprehensive destination for everyday needs while maintaining its core focus on connecting diners with local restaurants.
