Grubhub and Instacart have announced a partnership that will allow Grubhub customers to order groceries from Instacart’s network of more than a thousand national, regional, and local grocery retailers. The integration is available through the Grubhub app and website. Orders placed via this service are fulfilled and delivered by Instacart shoppers.
Customers can access the new grocery feature by selecting the Grocery icon in the Grubhub app, choosing a nearby store, adding items to their cart, and checking out. They will be able to track deliveries in real time. The rollout begins immediately and is expected to reach all areas where Instacart services are offered by the end of October. In addition to groceries, customers will soon be able to order from select pharmacies as part of this collaboration.
“This partnership marks an exciting step forward for Grubhub,” said Howard Migdal, CEO of Grubhub. “With nearly 20 million customers and access to over 415,000 restaurants, we’re now expanding our platform to include groceries powered by Instacart – delivering an unmatched level of choice and value. As we strengthen our grocery offering, our Grubhub+ program – already best-in-class for restaurant delivery – becomes even more powerful. By integrating Instacart into our platform, we’re making it easier than ever for customers to get everything they need, from their favorite meals to everyday essentials.”

All customers are also eligible for 30% off up to three qualifying orders over $75 during the next three months.
