Instacart, North America’s leading grocery technology firm, announced the acquisition of Wynshop, an e-commerce solutions provider for top grocers and retailers including Wakefern and Pattison. Instacart aims to strengthen its retailer relations and offer advanced tools to enhance online experiences and customer engagement through this acquisition.

Chris Rogers, Chief Business Officer at Instacart, stated, “Our deep integration with retailers and our leading technologies are critical advantages for Instacart. By offering our partners an array of enterprise-grade solutions, we can help them better serve customers and drive sales. By acquiring Wynshop, we’re building upon our retailer relationships, adding new capabilities to Storefront Pro, and over time, bringing our enterprise solutions to even more partners to help them grow their business.”

Wynshop’s CEO, Neil Moses, expressed pride in their achievements and welcomed the opportunity to scale their impact through Instacart. “We’re incredibly proud of what we’ve built at Wynshop. We’ve helped some of the industry’s leading grocers elevate their e-commerce capabilities and better serve their customers. Joining Instacart gives us the opportunity to scale our impact and accelerate innovation with a partner that shares our commitment to helping retailers succeed in an increasingly omnichannel grocery landscape.”

Currently, Wynshop will function as a wholly-owned Instacart subsidiary, though Instacart will not immediately recognize GTV from Wynshop. Plans are underway to extend more of Instacart’s enterprise technology offerings to Wynshop partners, including e-commerce, advertising, fulfillment, and in-store solutions.

Instacart is notable for its Storefront Pro solution, powering nearly 600 retail banners’ white-label sites, like Costco and Publix. Carrot Ads, their retail media solution, unlocks digital revenue via advertising on existing e-commerce platforms. Their fulfillment solutions range from rapid deliveries to in-store digitization options, such as AI-driven smart Caper Carts and Carrot Tags technology.
