Inspired by the real-life band, “The Runarounds” is a new coming-of-age musical drama series now streaming exclusively on Prime Video. The show follows five recent high school graduates from Wilmington, North Carolina, as they pursue their dreams of musical success. The series was created by Jonas Pate, known for his work on “Outer Banks,” and features a cast of musicians.

All eight episodes of “The Runarounds” are available to stream with a Prime Video subscription. Prime Video is included with an Amazon Prime membership, which costs $14.99 per month or $139 per year. There are also discounted memberships for young adults and those receiving government assistance. New users can access a 30-day free trial to explore the service.

Prime Video allows streaming on many devices such as smartphones, tablets, set-top boxes, game consoles, and smart TVs. Episodes can be downloaded for offline viewing on iOS, Android, and Fire devices.

The plot centers around five kids who form a rock band after graduating high school and experience challenges related to love, rivalry, and self-discovery while trying to achieve fame. The series includes original songs performed by the cast’s real-life band members.

The main cast includes William Lipton, Axel Ellis, Jeremy Yun, Zendé Murdock, and Jesse Golliher. Additional cast members are Maximo Salas, Kelley Pereira, Marley Aliah, Mark Wystrach, Brooklyn Decker, Hayes MacArthur, and Shea Pritchard.
