Prime Video has released the trailer for its upcoming action comedy “Playdate,” set to premiere on November 12. The film stars Kevin James as Brian, a recently unemployed accountant, and Alan Ritchson as Jeff, a stay-at-home dad. The story follows Brian as he expects a quiet afternoon during a playdate with Jeff and their sons, but instead finds himself in a dangerous situation involving a group of mercenaries.
Sarah Chalke, Alan Tudyk, Stephen Root, and Isla Fisher also feature in the cast. The film is directed by Luke Greenfield, known for “Let’s Be Cops” and “Something Borrowed,” and written by Neil Goldman, whose previous work includes “Community,” “Scrubs,” and “Family Guy.”
“Playdate” will be available to stream on Prime Video as part of an Amazon Prime membership. Membership costs $14.99 per month or $139 per year and includes benefits such as fast shipping and exclusive deals.
