Rebecca Chaiklin’s new documentary series “Hollywood Hustler: Glitz, Glam, Scam” will premiere on Prime Video on October 17. The series examines the story of Zach Horwitz, an aspiring actor who orchestrated a large Ponzi scheme to fund his Hollywood ambitions.

Prime Video subscribers will have access to the three-part series as part of their Amazon Prime membership. Membership costs $14.99 per month or $139 annually. There are also discounted options for young adults and college students, who can start with a six-month trial and then pay reduced rates, as well as for qualifying government-assistance recipients who can access Prime Access for a lower monthly fee.

Rebecca Chaiklin, known for her work on “Tiger King” and “Another World,” directs and executive produces the documentary. She is joined by executive producers Danny Gabai, Alice Bristow, and Chris Smith. The series is produced by Library Films, VICE Studios, and Article 19 Films.

The documentary includes personal accounts from people close to Horwitz, such as his ex-wife Mallory, friends who became business partners, and a longtime mistress, who describe how they were involved in his scheme.

Prime Video’s October lineup features other new releases in addition to this documentary. More information about what’s coming to the platform can be found at https://www.amazon.com/Prime-Video/b?ie=UTF8&node=2676882011.

There are several other true crime documentaries available to stream on Prime Video, including “LuLaRich,” “Lorena,” and “Ted Bundy: Falling for a Killer.”
