Second season of ‘Faceoff: Inside the NHL’ premieres October 3 on Prime Video

The second season of “Faceoff: Inside the NHL” will be available on Prime Video starting October 3. The documentary series, which follows professional hockey players both on and off the ice, returns with an expanded lineup that includes established stars such as Sidney Crosby of the Pittsburgh Penguins and Anže Kopitar of the Los Angeles Kings, as well as younger talents like Quinton Byfield (Los Angeles Kings) and Wyatt Johnston (Dallas Stars).

All six episodes of the new season will be released at once in more than 240 countries and territories. Viewers can also watch the first season now ahead of the new release.

Prime Video is part of a Prime membership, which costs $14.99 per month or $139 per year. Amazon provides discounted memberships for young adults and those receiving government assistance, offering all regular benefits at half price.

The second season focuses on family relationships, generational changes in hockey, and major competitions including behind-the-scenes access to locker rooms and personal interviews. Featured storylines include Crosby’s and Kopitar’s efforts to remain competitive as they age, rivalry between brothers Brady and Matthew Tkachuk, and the Toronto Maple Leafs’ attempt at redemption.

Prime members in Washington, Oregon, and Alaska will have access to Seattle Kraken games through Prime Video using either the app or website.

Prime Video can be streamed from compatible devices such as smartphones, tablets, set-top boxes, game consoles, or select smart TVs. Content can also be downloaded for offline viewing on iOS, Android, and Fire devices.

Those who are not yet Prime members can join or start a 30-day free trial.
