Shipt announced on Mar. 25 that its platform allows Michigan shoppers to work with flexibility, build relationships with customers, and pursue their financial goals.

The company said this approach is important because many people need flexible work options to manage responsibilities such as school, childcare, medical appointments, other jobs, or caring for family members.

According to Shipt, a recent survey found that nine out of ten shoppers in Michigan choose the platform because they can set their own hours and pick up work when it fits their schedules. The company explained that its technology lets shoppers claim orders in advance so they can plan ahead and earn income on their own terms.

Shipt also highlighted its Preferred Shopper feature. This program pairs members with their favorite shopper, giving workers the chance to increase earnings by building lasting relationships with repeat customers. The company noted that some shoppers have dozens or even hundreds of preferred members.

These connections often become meaningful over time. Shipt said some shoppers develop close bonds with customers through repeated deliveries.

As flexible work continues to be a priority for many people in Michigan and beyond, Shipt’s model may offer an option for those seeking adaptable ways to earn income while maintaining personal commitments.
