In contrast, cities like Cambridge, Massachusetts see significantly less mowing activity due to smaller lawns and climate factors.

Americans’ feelings about lawn care vary widely. A survey by Angi revealed that while 94% of Americans care about their lawn’s appearance, only a minority enjoy the task itself—21% find it enjoyable and another 18% rewarding. Conversely, many describe it as stressful or annoying.

Cost considerations also play a role in how homeowners approach yard work. Many believe doing it themselves saves money despite equipment and maintenance costs potentially offsetting savings over time.
