Tinder continues to maintain its position as a leading global dating application, reporting 75 million monthly active users worldwide in 2026. The platform also recorded 9.8 million subscribers and generated $1.96 billion in revenue in 2024, representing a slight increase from the previous year.

According to recent data, the United States accounts for the largest share of Tinder’s user base, with 7.8 million active users. Other countries with significant numbers of Tinder users include the United Kingdom, Brazil, Canada, and France.

Demographic information shows that a majority of Tinder users—61.2%—are between the ages of 18 and 34. The platform also has a notable presence among older age groups; about 20.4% are aged 35 to 44, while those over 45 make up 18.4% of the user base.

Gender distribution on Tinder is notably imbalanced: males represent approximately 75% of all users, while females account for just 24%. About 1% identify as non-binary or have not disclosed their gender. Regional differences exist in this ratio, with India showing an even larger male majority and Europe displaying a more balanced gender split.

Income statistics reveal that most Tinder users fall within the middle-income range; specifically, about half earn between $60,000 and $100,000 annually.

In terms of app engagement by sexual orientation, bisexual users spend around 25 minutes per day on Tinder. Gay and lesbian users average over an hour daily on the platform.

Tinder remains ahead of competitors in terms of downloads as well. In December 2025 alone, there were more than six million new downloads globally—double that of Bumble during the same period.

The company’s financial performance reflects steady growth since its early years but shows signs of market maturity in recent periods. After experiencing rapid revenue increases between 2015 and 2018—including a near doubling from $403 million to $805 million—growth rates have moderated since then.

User preferences regarding profiles indicate that most people consider having a photo essential for online dating apps. Seventy-four percent of women and sixty-eight percent of men hold this view. Many women (72%) believe it is important to specify relationship intentions in their profiles, while both genders express interest in learning about hobbies and interests through matches’ profiles.

Despite increased competition from other platforms such as Bumble and Hinge, Tinder continues to lead the sector due to its widespread recognition and consistent updates aimed at maintaining user engagement.

“Tinder remains a top choice for singles worldwide, with 75 million active users globally and 9.8 million subscribers. The United States leads the way with 7.8 million active users, highlighting the app’s strong presence in key markets.”

“Tinder is especially popular among younger users, with 61.2% aged 18 to 34, but it’s also gaining traction with older age groups. The platform’s 75% male user base creates a notable gender imbalance, shaping interactions and user behavior.”

“Despite increasing competition, Tinder’s consistent innovation, effective monetization strategies, and global reach keep it at the forefront of the online dating industry.”
