Tyler Perry’s new film, “Finding Joy,” will be released on Prime Video on November 5. The movie features Shannon Thornton as Joy, a fashion designer in New York whose work is often overlooked by her boss. The story follows Joy as she deals with setbacks in both her career and personal life. Encouraged by her friends Ashley, played by Brittany S. Hall, and Littia, played by Inayah, Joy travels to Colorado to pursue her romantic interest, Colton, portrayed by Aaron O’Connell. However, unexpected events, including a snowstorm, leave her stranded. During this time, she meets Ridge, played by Tosin Morohunfola, which leads to a change in her outlook on life and love.

The cast also includes Eric Stanton Betts, Natalie O’Connell, Jeffery Thomas Johnson, and Whitney Goin. Tyler Perry served as the producer, writer, and director of the film.

“Tyler Perry’s Finding Joy” will be available to stream exclusively on Prime Video, which is included with an Amazon Prime membership. Prime membership costs $14.99 per month or $139 per year, and offers additional benefits such as fast shipping and access to exclusive deals. Amazon also provides discounted Prime memberships for young adults aged 18 to 24, college students, and qualifying government-assistance recipients, with trial periods and reduced monthly or annual fees.

Prime Video will also feature other new releases in October, including “Play Dirty” and “Hazbin Hotel,” along with a variety of films, series, sports, and new episodes premiering on the platform.

Prime Video recently released a documentary about Tyler Perry, titled “Maxine’s Baby,” which explores his relationship with his mother and his motivations as a producer.
