Dara Khosrowshahi, CEO of Uber, said that all recent improvements to the company were created from driver and courier input and that continued feedback will shape future updates. The statement was made on YouTube.
“Every single improvement that you’re going to hear about today, and there’s a lot, was built based on your feedback and your ideas,” said Khosrowshahi, according to YouTube. “Every single one. And we’re going to stick around after the event today because we want to hear even more ideas for you because you know there’s another Only on Uber event coming up next year and we need ideas to start building for that event as well.”
According to Uber’s “Only on Uber: 25” newsroom post, new driver and courier product updates have been developed through more than 60 Uber Crew sessions, collecting over 100 hours of direct feedback. These updates cover safety, support, and earning tools and were shaped collaboratively with drivers in 2025 to make work on the platform “easier, safer, and more fair.” This initiative underscores Uber’s emphasis on user-driven innovation and responsiveness to its workforce.
Uber reported in its Q2 2025 financial materials that it now has 8.8 million active monthly drivers and couriers globally, marking a 20% year-over-year increase. The company also said that these earners collectively took home $20.8 billion during the quarter, reflecting record participation across its Mobility and Delivery segments. These figures demonstrate the scale of Uber’s global driver base and ongoing engagement in platform improvements.
Driver feedback has measurably shaped app safety and performance outcomes. According to The Verge, Uber reported improved satisfaction following its 2024 rider verification rollout that reduced fraud and increased 5-star ratings in pilot markets. This system gives drivers visibility into verified riders before accepting trips—a feature built directly from driver input—and exemplifies how feedback integration has tangibly enhanced platform trust.
