Uber Technologies, Inc. has announced new features aimed at improving the experience for bike couriers and enhancing navigation for drivers.

Key updates include in-app bike navigation and the introduction of satellite view in the app to better assist with complex drop-offs.

“Whether you’re driving a car or riding a bike, we understand that navigation can be challenging,” said Sachin Kansal, Vice President of Product Management at Uber. “These new features are designed to make your day on the road easier and less stressful.”

In-app bike navigation allows couriers to receive turn-by-turn directions without leaving the Uber app, enhancing safety and convenience. The new satellite view feature helps drivers better orient themselves at complex locations, improving efficiency during drop-offs.

Uber also introduced a number of new measures and initiatives to improve safety features for drivers, including un-matching with riders and a feature to flag riders who don’t treat drivers with respect.
