XXImo has accomplished a significant milestone by migrating its infrastructure to Amazon Web Services (AWS). With assistance from CloudNation, the company has become one of the first worldwide to fully transition its card processing to the cloud. This move integrates Visa Cloud Connect and Amazon Payment Cryptography (APC) on AWS, establishing a new industry standard in mobility payments.

The shift to AWS enables XXImo to ensure scalability, heighten security, and improve operational efficiency, aligning with the payment industry’s broader trend towards cashless systems. The transition reduces hardware reliance, thereby decreasing maintenance costs and enhancing performance. As global business travel expenditure is projected to exceed $2 trillion USD by 2028, XXImo’s cloud-first approach positions the company to meet the demands of modern businesses effectively.

XXImo is an early adopter of Visa Cloud Connect, which integrates directly and securely with Visa, allowing an expansion of mobility payment capabilities. Moreover, the use of APC transitions from hardware-based encryption to a cloud-native model, optimizing cost efficiency while adhering to high security standards.

The transition was executed alongside AWS, Visa, and CloudNation, all of whom were crucial in supporting the transformation. Zaheer Sacranie, CTO at XXImo, stated, “By migrating to AWS, we are accelerating our ability to scale, innovate, and enhance our service delivery. With Visa Cloud Connect and APC, combined with our strategic partnerships with Visa, AWS, and CloudNation, we now process transactions with even greater efficiency and security.”

Ian Lundberg from Visa expressed, “Visa Cloud Connect provides a secure and flexible solution for companies like XXImo to modernize their payment infrastructure. We are proud to see XXImo at the forefront to embrace this technology.” Similarly, Scott Mullins from AWS noted the benefits of the cloud-native solution for PCI-compliant cryptography needs and low latency for XXImo’s operations, while Bart Boonen from CloudNation acknowledged the strategic shift’s role in XXImo’s growth.

XXImo’s cloud-native infrastructure and its deployment of AWS, Visa Cloud Connect, and APC solidify its position in providing efficient, secure transaction processing. The company offers multimodal travel solutions through its innovative Mobility Payment Platform, supporting businesses across Europe.
