Lyft is reevaluating its monthly subscription plan, and the change could make the price more reasonable. About half off from its original pricing, the business has relaunched its Pink membership at $10 per month or $99 per year.
The only downside of this, however, riders will no longer receive any fares at the reduced rate. Rather, there is an emphasis on savings-oriented incentives.
"Most Lyft Pink members can switch plans by going to the ‘Manage plan’ page in the Lyft Pink tab. If you don’t see the option to switch, you can also change plans by canceling your current membership, then signing up for one of the new plans," Lyft stated.
Lyft claims that the new feature, which allows for free priority pickups, will save consumers between $3 and $4 per ride. In addition, users get a discount of at least 5% on Preferred, Lux, and XL rides, free cancellations three times a month, a free bike or scooter unlock once a month, free upgrades at Sixt Car Rentals, savings at GrubHub+, and roadside help for your vehicle four times a year, according to Engadget.
Lyft claims that driver compensation will remain unchanged in the face of price reductions. If priority pickups aren't available when customers book, they will still receive a discount on their journeys.
However, the advantages of riding a bike or a scooter aren't always available. Customers will require them in select US cities such as Denver, LA, and NYC. Management remains confident about customer spending. Lyft Pink All Access costs $199 annually and includes unlimited 45-minute "conventional" bike rides, unlimited e-bike and scooter unlocks, and three annual bike or scooter guest tickets. A consumer who commutes by bike could save a lot of money.
