Cincinnati Bengals punter Drue Chrisman is making headlines for his efforts off the football field. During the NFL offseason, the 25-year-old athlete took up a side job as a DoorDash delivery driver.

"To answer the question 'Why are you doing DoorDash Drue?' I use the money I make to spend at local restaurants and hand the food out around town. Hope that clears some things up," Chrisman wrote in a tweet on June 21.

Chrisman began sharing his DoorDash deliveries on social media in June, kicking it off with a video of himself delivering toilet paper and Starbucks on his bike.

"Where should I go next???" Chrisman asked his followers on Twitter.

Several people have offered to donate to Chrisman’s cause after seeing his social media posts. DoorDash has also shown its appreciation for the NFL player's charitable work.

"Supporting local restaurants," DoorDash tweeted. "Feeding your community."

Chrisman has been using the money he makes from his deliveries to support local restaurants and provide meals to people in his community, according to a CBS report.

Chrisman, who previously played at Ohio State University, has recorded 28 punts for 1,338 yards, playing in seven games for the Bengals. He became the team's punter in Week 11 of the 2022 season.
