DoorDash announced a collaboration with the Foundation for Advancing Alcohol Responsibility (Responsibility.org) to develop and commit to the Core Four principles for responsible alcohol delivery. These principles are designed to enhance safety for Dashers and consumers alike.

According to a press release by DoorDash, the company has partnered with Responsibility.org to adopt these principles, ensuring that deliveries are made only to adults over 21, avoiding minors and intoxicated individuals, educating delivery personnel on safe practices, and implementing stringent compliance measures.

DoorDash reinforces these principles with thorough ID scanning at delivery, specialized safety training for Dashers, and an improved returns process for undelivered alcohol. Additionally, DoorDash respects consumer choices by offering a voluntary self-exclusion option to opt out of alcohol-related offerings on its platform.

Responsibility.org spearheads efforts to combat drunk driving and underage drinking while advocating for informed decision-making regarding alcohol consumption. Guided by a National Advisory Board and collaborating with national and local partners, Responsibility.org facilitates extensive educational campaigns across all 50 states and Washington, D.C. Their initiatives aim to foster lifelong dialogues about alcohol responsibility, emphasizing the importance of safe practices and community engagement in promoting public health and safety related to alcohol use.

DoorDash is a prominent delivery service platform that connects consumers with a wide range of restaurants and merchants, offering convenient and efficient delivery options for food, groceries, and other goods. Founded in 2013, the tech company links consumers with local businesses across more than 25 nations globally. It provides solutions to bolster business expansion and customer engagement. Primarily concentrating on local commerce infrastructure, DoorDash supports merchants in adjusting to the convenience-driven market. Alongside this, it serves as a source of employment for job seekers and broadens consumers' access to community amenities.
