Amazon has announced the availability of Amazon Key In-Garage Delivery for Prime members in Canada. Eligible members with a compatible myQ Smart Garage can now receive their Amazon packages delivered inside their garages.

According to Amazon, the Amazon Key In-Garage Delivery aims to improve package security and convenience by reducing the chances of weather damage and missed deliveries. This system utilizes Amazon Key and Chamberlain Group’s myQ Smart Garage technologies to provide delivery drivers with temporary access to members' garages for secure package placement. Once linked to their myQ account in the Amazon app, members can select In-Garage Delivery at checkout, allowing drivers to place packages directly inside garages.

"Having the option to choose Amazon Key In-Garage Delivery, particularly for high-priced items, offers customers who are away from home during package deliveries peace of mind that their purchases have been delivered and are secure. myQ works with Amazon Key to give homeowners control to choose between doorstep and in-garage delivery as part of the delivery process, while offering a secure and convenient destination for unattended package delivery inside their garages," said Kiel Fitzgerald, senior director and general manager of myQ Residential Partnerships.

Chamberlain Group provides innovative products and software solutions within its myQ ecosystem for secure access to homes and businesses. The company also offers the myQ Connected Garage solution, integrated into millions of vehicles from leading manufacturers.

Amazon provides a range of services, including online and in-person shopping, delivery of fresh produce, and media distribution. The company operates various devices and services such as Alexa and Fire TV, and offers cloud solutions through Amazon Web Services (AWS). Its operations include logistics and customer service, and it also delivers entertainment through platforms like Amazon Originals, Prime Video, and Audible.
