Amazon, in collaboration with teachers and students from 21 high schools in West Java, Indonesia, has set a new GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS title for the “Most Applications Made In An On-site Generative AI (Gen AI) Event.” The event resulted in the creation of 10,821 unique Gen AI applications.
The initiative was organized with the support of Prestasi Junior Indonesia, Alkademi Foundation, and Yayasan Sagasitas Indonesia. It marks the culmination of a year-long effort by students and teachers to explore the creative and responsible use of artificial intelligence. The applications developed included project management assistants, personal carbon footprint companions, and other AI-driven tools.
During the record attempt, students provided ideas for Gen AI apps, specifying prompts and widgets, while teachers and non-profit staff implemented these ideas using PartyRock, an Amazon Bedrock playground. The event took place both at participants’ schools and at the Amazon Think Big Space at SMK Negeri 1 in Karawang on October 13, 2025. GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS verified that all applications were functional and unique, with an official adjudicator certifying the achievement.
