Amazon has launched a redesigned version of its Luna cloud gaming service, aiming to make high-quality games more accessible for Prime members. The updated platform allows users to play games on devices they already own, such as Fire TV, tablets, smartphones, web browsers, and select smart TVs from LG and Samsung.
The new Luna offers over 50 games at no extra cost to Prime members. Among the features is GameNight, a collection of more than 25 local multiplayer games designed for group play in the living room. “GameNight takes even further the idea of easy access that’s core to the new Luna, delivering a collection of incredibly fun and approachable games that absolutely shine when played together with friends and family,” said Jeff Gattis, general manager of Amazon Luna. “Anyone with a smartphone can dive right in and have a blast, regardless of their gaming abilities.”
GameNight includes exclusive titles developed by Amazon Game Studios. Its launch title is Courtroom Chaos: Starring Snoop Dogg—an AI-powered improv courtroom game where players invent characters and stories before Judge Snoop Dogg. Other familiar party and board games are also available in reimagined formats for living room play using smartphones as controllers.

To use GameNight titles, players scan a QR code on their TV so their phone becomes a controller. Games support multiple local players depending on the title.
Luna's broader library includes recent releases like Hogwarts Legacy and Indiana Jones and the Great Circle as well as indie titles and classics. These non-GameNight titles require either a controller or mouse and keyboard.
Gattis noted that many Prime households include someone interested in gaming but may lack easy ways to play: “Luna is purpose-built to remove the historical barriers to gaming. There’s no need to purchase costly, dedicated PC or console hardware. No downloads or installations required. And best of all, access is included within the same Prime membership enjoyed by more than 200 million paid members today.”
In addition to gaming benefits through Luna, Prime membership offers shopping perks such as free shipping on millions of items across dozens of categories; exclusive deals; grocery savings at Amazon.com, Amazon Fresh, and Whole Foods Market; free Grubhub+ delivery; streaming through Prime Video including live sports coverage; ad-free music via Amazon Music; unlimited photo storage with Amazon Photos; among other features.
For expanded game access beyond what’s included with Prime, customers can subscribe to Luna Premium for $9.99 per month—replacing the previous Luna+ subscription—and receive an even larger selection including EA SPORTS FC 25 and Star Wars Jedi: Survivor.
Currently, cloud-delivered games on Luna are available in several countries including the U.S., UK, Canada, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Austria, Netherlands, Poland, Sweden, Portugal, Belgium and Luxembourg. Amazon plans future expansion into additional regions.
