New York City's Pasteur Grill and Noodles is one of seven $50,000 grant recipients and winners of Grubhub and The Greg Hill Foundation's Restaurant Strong Fund's All Day Campaign.

Pasteur was among the many restaurants that had to undergo two rounds of review and a final interview. Restaurants that best presented how the grant would impact their business, including their employees and their community was chosen to receive the grant.

"We are proud to support these nearly 400 restaurants across the country as they continue to recover from the pandemic and serve their communities," Adam Wilson, Director of Restaurant Success at Grubhub stated in a press release. "Restaurateurs are incredibly resilient, and while talking with recipients, I heard first-hand how this money would help their businesses – from expansion renovations, to new HVAC systems and updated equipment and payroll. We're optimistic about the future of the restaurant industry and will continue to do our part to support our partners."

Located at 85 Baxter Street in New York City, Pasteur Grill and Noodles first opened in 1987 as “New Pasteur,” but later changed the name. Pasteur Grill and Noodles is committed to "serving fresh, authentic Vietnamese food," according to the website.

"There is arguably no other sector of the economy that has been more devastated by the effects of the pandemic than restaurants," Greg Hill, Founder of The Greg Hill Foundation said.

More than $4 million was awarded to 379 independent restaurants in grant amounts ranging from $5,000 to $50,000.

The grants are meant to help restaurant owners fund improvement projects such as indoor and outdoor dining, maintenance of equipment and technology, upgrades, marketing and promotion, hiring and staffing and COVID-19 compliance.

Applicants in seven cities were encouraged to apply and one restaurant from each city was awarded a $50,000 grant funded by Grubhub's Donate the Change program.

The other six cities where a selected restaurant won $50,000 were Boston, Baltimore, Denver, Chicago, Philadelphia and Portland.
