DoorDash has partnered with BJ’s Wholesale Club to deliver grocery items.
According to DoorDash, members and non-members will now be able to purchase BJ's items, such as deli meat, dairy and produce, through the DoorDash app. Members will still have the opportunity to access reduced pricing by linking their membership card to their DoorDash account. BJ's is now the first wholesale club to offer its products on DoorDash.
"In celebration of the new partnership, from March 29 through April 12 DoorDash will offer customers 30% off their order of $100 or more (up to a total value of $40) for BJ’s on the marketplace," DoorDash officials announced.
Experienced Dashers can qualify for the DoorDash Drive program, which delivers orders placed directly with local stores. To qualify, Dashers must have completed at least 100 deliveries in the last month and at least 200 deliveries total, maintain an average rating of at least 4.7 stars, own an approved catering bag, and have a completion rate of at least 95% in the last month, according to DoorDash.
“We see the trend toward convenience only going in one direction, with grocery delivery being no exception," DoorDash Vice President of Business Development Shanna Preve said, according to DoorDash. "We are thrilled to welcome BJ’s to the DoorDash platform as our first wholesale club on the marketplace, continuing our mission to provide consumers with the convenience and savings they crave while empowering merchants to reach customers wherever they are.”
BJ's operates 226 locations across 17 states in the eastern U.S. Through this partnership, customers who place an order on BJ's website will also be able to receive same-day delivery through DoorDash Drive, according to DoorDash.
DoorDash reports that the membership program offers unlimited $0 delivery fees to members on DashPass eligible orders.
According to DoorDash, DashPass members may enjoy the benefits on grocery store orders that have a subtotal of $25 or more from BJ's.
