FaZe Clan, a lifestyle and media platform "rooted in gaming and youth culture" recently announced a new partnership with DoorDash, according to a news release.

“We are excited to name DoorDash as the official on-demand delivery platform of FaZe Clan and look forward to the boundary pushing collaborations, exciting products, live events and innovative content we’ll be dropping this year” Adam Bauer, SVP of Partnerships at  FaZe Clan, said in a statement. “We know that our fans are always looking for ways to elevate their game and this partnership with DoorDash will help them remain focused while having access to all their needs on-demand.”

This partnership will not only enable gamers to have all their essentials delivered, but also bring exciting live events that will highlight gaming, food, and more, the news release said.

“We are thrilled to be the official on-demand delivery platform of FaZe Clan and support gamers as the one-stop shop for everything they need to seamlessly support their gaming rituals and eliminate downtime so they can focus on the games they love,” said David Bornoff, DoorDash’s Head of Brand Marketing.  “We look forward to working together as we leverage our platform to uniquely engage and build lasting connections with the gaming community.”

60% of American consumers report ordering food for takeout or delivery at least once a week, while almost one-third report using third-party delivery apps at least twice per week, according to Upserve. More than one-third of consumers report spending at least $50 on average per order when ordering meals online. Restaurants report an increase of 10-20% in sales volume when working with third-party platforms.

A Wakefield Research survey conducted among college students in March 2022 found that in a typical week, 70% of college students order food from a third-party delivery app, and on average, they place four orders per week, the news release said. More than a quarter of college students spend more than $100 per week on average on food delivery. Almost three-quarters of the students surveyed said they are more likely to order food during midterms or finals.

During the partnership, DoorDash and FaZe Clan, "will continue to collaborate on original programming and live events that empower the gaming community," the news release said.
