DoorDash is launching a new service called Package Pickup, which will make returning shipments even easier for customers.

Dasher's Package Pickup service allows customers to have their pre-paid parcels picked up from their doorstep and delivered to their neighborhood UPS, FedEx, or USPS location.

“We are excited to introduce Package Pickup as a seamless and efficient offering for those looking to make returns during the busy post-holiday season and throughout the year,” Gagan Gupta, Product Manager at DoorDash. “The extensibility of our platform allows us to power all local commerce and local delivery needs, with this newest offering enabling us to meet time-starved shoppers wherever they are.”

With the new option, shoppers can rest easy after the holidays because they don't have to leave the house to send back their unwanted packages. Customers throughout the country can take advantage of Package Pickup because it covers 95% of the United States, according to DoorDash.

Clients can get up to 5 packages picked up and dropped off in the same order for a flat rate of $3 for DashPass members and $5 for non-members. This month, consumers can get their first package pickup for free.

Doordash's Package Pickup service streamlines the package return procedure for customers by putting the company's current logistical infrastructure to good use. Doordash's mission is to simplify the returns process for online shoppers by helping shops adapt to their customers' changing wants and demands.
