The Pinnacle Bank Arena of Lincoln, Nebraska, is now allowing customers to order concessions from the comfort of their seats with the DoorDash app, according to 1011 NOW

Glenn Bateman, director of food and beverage at Pinnacle Bank Arena, said in the article that the arena would like to make food ordering more efficient.

"We strive to have fewer lines at concession stands and faster delivery, so folks do not miss any of the action of games, family shows or concerts," Bateman told 1011 NOW.

The official launch of the new partnership was marked on Feb. 2 and took place during the University of Nebraska Women's Basketball game against Michigan State, the article said. The fresh partnership is with DoorDash, a food delivery and ordering app.

Initially, the collaboration began with a few concession stands, but Bateman said in the 1011 Now article, that they plan to gradually incorporate more stands as they become more acquainted with the system. Fans can connect with a venue-specific experience through a GPS pop-up on the app or by scanning a QR code on their seats.

The focus of the collaboration is to improve the guest experience. Now, guests will attend live events, place orders for food and beverages from specific concession stands using the DoorDash app on their mobile phones and pick up their orders when they are ready from their seats, the article said.
