Fiverr announced new research on retailers' readiness for the holiday season, based on a global survey of over 2,500 consumers and 2,500 small-to-medium business leaders. The study highlights a strategic shift in managing marketing, freelance talent, and AI technologies to compete with larger e-commerce brands and address challenges like inflation and Gen-Z shopping habits.
According to a press release by Fiverr, one-third of retailers are facing staffing shortages as the holiday season approaches, and a similar proportion are turning to freelancers to help address their operational needs. With online shopping on the rise, nearly 68% of retailers are implementing AI in their operations this holiday season, with 41% planning to invest in AI tools to speed up processes and attract Gen Z consumers.
