Airbnb announced that its Trust and Safety Advisory Coalition (TSAC) has contributed to over 45 safety initiatives since 2022. The coalition supports Airbnb in improving safety policies and products.
According to a press release by Airbnb, the company has worked to enhance community safety by updating its policies, products, and support systems, partnering with experts through TSAC launched in 2022. This coalition, comprising over 20 organizations with expertise in various safety areas, has supported Airbnb in implementing over 45 initiatives to improve safety for users.
The collaboration has resulted in new resources for hosts and guests, updates to safety-focused features such as the solo traveler safety tool, and improvements to the Safety Center. TSAC has also helped raise awareness about issues like human trafficking and supported Airbnb in signing The Code by ECPAT to combat child exploitation. These efforts aim to reinforce Airbnb’s ongoing commitment to evolving its safety policies and support systems.
"We are incredibly fortunate to have the TSAC, and they consistently bring immense value to Airbnb. Being able to turn to trust and safety experts who not only have a deep understanding of these issues and Airbnb’s commitment to addressing them but who we have also built trusted relationships with gives us the confidence that we are investing in what’s best for our community," said Tara Bunch, global head of operations for Airbnb.
