Uber Technologies, Inc. recognized Naveed Aslalm, one of the first drivers to join the platform in the Washington, D.C. area, for his tenure with the company.

Aslalm has recorded over 33,000 trips completed since he began, and he received a "First Driver" recognition award from the company in honor of his continued deication to the company and his riders.

“Naveed Aslalm was one of the first drivers to join Uber in the D.C. area, and with nearly 13 years of experience and over 33,000 trips, he exemplifies what it means to be a veteran driver,” said Camiel Irving, General Manager for Uber Rides, US & Canada.

Aslalm’s long-standing commitment to providing safe and reliable service has made him a trusted figure in the D.C. Uber community.

The recognition was given during an Uber event in October where the company debuted several new safety and accessibility features on their apps which were intended to improve driver and courier safety and improve contractor specific features.

Other drivers recognized during the event included Peter Boatang, Joshua Cavallero, Tilahun Semu, and Titus Mbeh.
